Long-term corrosion resistant superamphiphobic coating with self-extinguished flame retardancy

摘要Functional materials with superamphiphobic properties represent a highly promising alternative for metal corrosion protection, with their design, fabrication and application having become a recent research focus. In this paper, a dual -layer flame-retardant (FR) superamphiphobic anti -corrosion coating was constructed on Q235 carbon steel by introducing 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene 10 -oxide (DOPO) and functionalized nanoparticles using spray -coating technology. The surface wettability, hierarchical morphologies, elemental analysis, self-cleaning ability, corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, and mechanical stability were investigated. It was found that the prepared FR superamphiphobic coating exhibited superior non -wetting and liquid repellent properties, with a contact angle (CA) and sliding angle (SA) of n-hexadecane droplet being 151.5 +/- 1.3 degrees and 8.5 +/- 0.5 degrees , respectively. Evaluation of corrosion resistance showed that the surface charge transfer resistance (R ct ) and low -frequency modulus (Z| 0.01Hz ) were improved by 7 -8 orders of magnitude compared to the bare substrate, and it also withstood 480 h of salt spray, 1440 h of 3.5 wt% NaCl immersion, and 1440 h of out -door atmospheric exposure testing. Furthermore, wood chips covered with the coating prepared in this study exhibited excellent self -extinguishing flame-retardant properties after ignition from an alcohol lamp source. The integration of these functionalities greatly expands the application prospects of superamphiphobic materials in many fields.
