摘要 | Regulatory mechanisms of autoinducer-2 (AI-2) on corrosion of Q235 carbon steel caused by Desulfovibrio sp. Huiquan2017 in cultures with extremely deficient organic electron donor were investigated. When the carbon steel became an important electron donor, the bacterium formed biofilms on it through the chemotaxis to Fe2+. AI-2 promoted bacterial chemotaxis to Fe2+, which enhanced biofilm formation. The denser biofilms with more sessile cells increased the demand for electrons from Fe0, and consequently weight loss was increased significantly. Meanwhile, the selective phase corrosion was also aggravated by AI-2 in the present of bacterium. |
